At approximately 7pm on Monday 22nd December, thieves smashed their into the newsagents via the shop doorway and stole a quantity of cigaretettes and the til leaving several of the display cabinets also damaged.

A large number of police attended the scene and the shop had to be closed for a couple of days whilst forensic attended and for repairs to be subsequently carried out.

It is not known whether any suspects have been arrested but if you saw anything suspicious, please contact thepolice.
