Here we have pictures of test drilling next to the M1 on the Hinckley Road bridge...has anyone been told of this?

This was confirmed by the Parish Council that the contractors were employed by the Highways Agency to carry out core sampling and have been doing this along various stretches of the motorway embankment. This is quite obviously in connection with the proposed widening of the M1.I understood that it is unlikely that any further announcement will be made regarding their preferred scheme before the end of February. You may recollect that an announcement was originally expected in December 2006 then this month.
